Flash Mixers

Overview

Flash mixers are the most basic type of paddle, consisting of two straight blades. The horizontal circulation is mainly generated at low speed, radial flow at high speed, and vertical circulation at battles. Flash mixers are structurally simple and suitable for mixing and dispersing low-viscosity liquids, as well as dissolving and suspending solid particles. Meanwhile, lowering the height of the paddle from the bottom can be used as a scraper to prevent the heavy components from settling at the bottom, which helps with processes such as suspension, crystallization and extraction.

Flash mixers primarily apply the principles of fluid mechanics and mechanical mechanics. Through the rotation of the blades, strong shear forces and circulating flows are generated, which help to transport materials from one area to another, thereby effectively mixing or dispersing the liquid uniformly.

Chemical industry: used to produce emulsions, solutions, suspensions and other products by quickly mixing reactants to increase reaction speed.
Food and beverages: can be used for mixing and homogenizing liquid foods such as dairy products, juices, and condiments.
Medicine and pharmaceuticals: used to dissolve or mix liquid medicines, disperse solid particles and prepare suspensions.
Environmental engineering: applied in sewage treatment and homogenization of other liquid wastes.
Other industrial fields: flash mixers are also often used in paper-making, textiles and some petroleum processing processes.
