A submersible mixer features high thrust, comprehensive leakage prevention and maintenance functions, excellent sealing quality, compact size, light weight, high efficiency, and long service life. It is mainly used in anaerobic tanks, anoxic tanks, adjustment tanks, and sludge tanks in wastewater treatment plants. After a submersible mixer is put into operation, it requires regular inspection and maintenance. The following points should be noted during maintenance:
Oil Replacement
Generally, the lubricating oil of the submersible mixer should be replaced every six months. The recommended oil type is No. 32 mechanical oil. When changing the oil, carefully unscrew the oil plug and drain the oil into an oil container. Be mindful that the grease gun may contain residual air pressure to avoid oil pump hazards.
Assembly and Disassembly of the Submersible Mixer Seal
Assembly must be carried out in a clean environment using pure lubricating oil as the medium. First, clean all parts of the mechanical seal. Then, press the stationary rings of the two seals evenly and smoothly into the positioning holes. Take care to protect the stationary ring cover and avoid damaging the sealing surface. Use a guide sleeve to install the rotating ring onto the shaft and close the oil chamber cover carefully to prevent hitting the mechanical seal surface. For disassembly, follow these steps in reverse order.
Bearing Lubricating Grease
The bearing grease is usually replaced during major overhauls. The amount of grease should fill 1/3–1/2 of the bearing chamber gap. It is recommended to use high-temperature calcium-based grease.
Leakage Maintenance
If the leakage switch requires maintenance, it indicates that the mechanical seal on the motor side is damaged and needs to be inspected and repaired. Open the oil chamber plug to drain any accumulated liquid inside.
